NATO...Are Its Final Days Just Ahead

1,000 in Donetsk say no to NATO, yes to union with Russia
Itar-Tass

DONETSK, March 20 - Over 1,000 people gathered on the central square of Donetsk on Sunday by the initiative of the Ukrainian Progressive Socialist Party.

Their slogans were “No to NATO,” “Revive Union of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus,” “Down with the Bandera Kind,” “State Status to the Russian Language,” and “Forever with Russia.”

Party leader Natalia Vitrenko said they would wait until Viktor Yanukovich’s Party of Regions “defines their ideology of struggle.”

The ex-candidate for president and his supporters “are realizing the problem. The party, which has never been in opposition and does not know how to be such, has found itself in a very difficult situation,” Vitrenko said. “We are waiting for them to define their ideology of struggle, so that we could determine spheres of our interaction,” he added.
