Greetings from Tyler,
We can follow it too closely. We can’t live or die based on the outcome of some pick for high office or other. Here comes the chess game we can’t always understand. But now it begins. The media is hunting down his picks one by one. And there’s scandal to be found, some fatal to the job they were nominated for. Are you sure this isn’t by design? Trump, or his entourage, sometimes float a name just to get them attention. The media, as now construed, has accepted Trump’s return and is going to do its utmost to rain on the parade. But his appointments… No reason to get bent out of shape about some name that’s being floated. Chances are the man knows what he’s doing.
Some of the scenes Trump recounts in his rallies and interviews make you laugh out loud. Unless you’re in mourning. I recommend an interview that Trump did several days before the election. He told stories, including one on John Bolton that will have you in stiches. I particularly liked the one where he told of Kim Jong un’s reaction.
The usual suspects on the left are mighty quiet. Their left-wing networks are bust. Nobody’s watching, except to see what they say. The bigwigs? Nary a peep. Where are all the big names in the party that’s been a blight on our lives all these years? Where’s all the left-wing righteousness? Gone forever, we can hope.
Some won’t remember the 80’s, or what a breath of fresh air Ronald Reagan brought to our lives. Witnessing it in this town was pretty enlightening. Things were dead, and everybody was depressed in the Jimmy Carter era. Reagan saved this country from humiliation the world over. You can’t believe what has happened locally, and pretty much everywhere else.
Europe is having a conniption fit. You mean, we’re not saving the planet? There’s been another tractor protest in France. It’s always about some detail that doesn’t really impact the general direction of things. But freedom is contagious, and countries that have always looked down their noses at Americans are going to be jealous pretty quick.
That is, if they don’t start WWIII while we’re waiting for the inauguration. Apparently some long-range American missiles have been fired deep into Russia with the approval of the beach-chair president. What are they going to do, try to get us into a war with Russia before the inauguration? You’d be forgiven for wondering.
It’s hard to wrap your mind around everything we’ve had to deal with, but not anymore. We’ve been tortured by these talking heads for as long as we can remember, and now they’re going broke. The self-righteousness of these people is hard to take, and chances are good that the market for the kind of grief we’ve suffered has dried up conclusively.
I suggested we cancel the December 25th holiday as a show of thankfulness. What, is the public now going to rush off to buy gifts in honor of something they don’t understand? It seems pointless, and the lights are already going up in my neighborhood. We better recognize that our nation has been saved from the insanity of the “majority” and they’re not the majority any more. So these preachy networks can’t go bust soon enough.
This Thanksgiving holiday should be observed with the knowledge that God is giving us another chance.
