Trump urged to continue his pro-Israel ways

He moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem – then he followed that up by shutting down the Palestinian mission in Washington, DC. What’s next for President Trump? A pro-Israel ministry has a suggestion.

“The next thing would be to officially recognize the Golan Heights as being part of Israel,” says Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel and Christians in Defense of Israel. “It has been so since 1967: it is Israel and we ought to recognize it as Israel. But to be honest, President Donald Trump and the administration have been doing all they can – and they’ve been doing the right things.”

The Trump administration announced last week that the PLO office in the nation’s capital will close. Staver says there’s no reason to allow the General Delegation of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), which is associated with the Palestinian Authority, to continue to have an office in DC when it is failing to do what the office was designed to do.

“The office was allowed to open there as a means to have a presence in Washington, DC, to work toward a peace solution with Israel and the Palestinians – and yet what we find is that the Palestinian Authority refuses to stop funding terror,” Staver continues.

“The United States, under President Trump, has decided to stop sending hundreds of millions of dollars to the Palestinian Authority unless and until they renounce terrorism – and they will not renounce terrorism. In fact, they fund terrorism and they encourage and promote terrorism.”

Over the weekend, the White House froze all bank accounts in the U.S. belonging to the PLO and revoked the visas for the Palestinian envoy to the U.S., Husam Zomlot, and his family.
